DESCTIPTION

In effort to circularize production, world renowned apparel brands like Nike now require their suppliers to regenerate 90% of scrap and defective products by 2020. In order to improve the extent and scope of waste reuse (Presource) in the footwear industry, the Project Dean Shoe Group is aimed at improving the utilization of shoe waste resources and assessing the efficiency of resource utilization at all stages of the product life cycle.

Intention

To test out recycling methods of discarded shoe materials in the enterprise

To test the basic properties of PA reuse materials and assess its compatibility

Analyze the potential environmental and economic benefits of the regeneration model

waste is decomposed by subcritical water treatment to produce powdered fertilizer.

Resulting POWDER can re-enter the value chain and be used as a soil modifier or a recarburizer.
